1000 Voices & Orchestra
By Louvaine Roos (Founder & Event Sponsor)
Music has always been part of who I am.
As a singer and pianist, I’ve spent years experiencing the discipline, beauty, and unity that music can create. In 2018 and 2019, I had the opportunity to create productions, on a smaller scale, in South Africa. Those experiences stayed with me — not just because of the performances, but because of what happened to the people involved. Confidence grew. Connections formed. Something bigger than the music itself was created.
Since arriving in Nigeria, that idea has never left me. I kept seeing the depth of talent, the richness of culture, and the incredible diversity of voices — and at the same time, I felt there was space for something that could bring it all together on one stage, at a scale that truly reflects the country.
1000 Voices & Orchestra was born out of that vision.
It is a dream to create something lasting. Not just a performance, but a platform. A place where people from different backgrounds, experiences, and musical abilities can come together and create something powerful as ONE.
This project is not about labels or categories. It is about people. It is about shared experience, discipline, and the joy of making music together at a very high level. But beyond the stage, this is also about the future.
One of the most important parts of this journey for me is building a foundation that supports young and emerging talent. Through bursaries and development opportunities, I want this platform to open doors — especially for those who may not otherwise have access.
The vision is simple, but it is intentional: Abuja 2027, Lagos 2028, Abuja 2029, Lagos 2030 — and beyond.
Each edition will grow, evolve, and reach more people, while staying true to the heart of why it started. Building a lasting legacy. This is something I have dreamed about for a long time. Now, it is time to build it — together.
One Voice. One Stage. One Unforgettable Sound..

Dr. Nana Gbolahan
Project Management & Coordination Lead | 1000 Voices and Orchestra
Dr. Nana Gbolahan brings over three decades of multidisciplinary leadership experience into the 1000 Voices and Orchestra platform, combining strategic oversight with deep operational execution across large-scale, people-driven initiatives.
With an academic foundation that includes a Doctorate in Management and advanced degrees in Public and International Affairs and Estate Management, Nana has built a career defined by structure, delivery discipline, and human capital development. Her expertise spans project coordination, organizational performance, talent development, logistics, and large-scale program execution—capabilities that are critical to a production of the scale and complexity of 1000 Voices and Orchestra.
Within the 1000 Voices and Orchestra initiative, Nana plays a pivotal role in translating vision into coordinated execution. A production involving up to 1000 Voices and Orchestra, full orchestration, multiple stakeholder groups, and national participation requires more than creativity—it requires precision systems, disciplined planning, and seamless integration across all functional areas. Nana brings exactly that capability.
Her longstanding involvement in music development through the Abuja National Music Competition, as well as her leadership in music education and community initiatives, positions her uniquely at the intersection of artistic understanding and operational control. She understands not only the creative ambition of 1000 Voices and Orchestra, but also the mechanics required to deliver it at scale.
Beyond execution, Nana contributes to the legacy dimension of the project. Her work in youth development, music education, and cultural preservation aligns directly with the broader purpose of 1000 Voices and Orchestra —to build a platform that is not a once-off event, but a sustained national movement for unity, talent development, and cultural identity.
Her presence within the project strengthens its ability to move from concept to reality, ensuring that 1000 Voices and Orchestra is delivered with structure, excellence, and long-term impact.

Mass choir arrangement and vocal architecture across hundreds of singers
Integration of orchestral and choral elements into a unified performance system
Repertoire direction aligned with African identity and global appeal
Training methodology and rehearsal structure required to synchronize large groups into a single, controlled musical output

In addition to his musical career, Zitu’s background as a product manager and certified critical thinker informs his structured approach to complex productions. He applies principles of planning, iteration, and performance optimization to music direction, ensuring that 1000 Voices and Orchestra is not only inspiring, but technically world-class.
